We all get by – with a little help from our friends.

Isn’t that the truth?

We’ve started our Book the Bra Fitters program in part, to celebrate the unique way that female friendships shift and adapt to changing life circumstances. We may not have lots of time to share directly with one another – but we can make a sort-of boring (or sometimes anxiety-inducing) activity more fun simply by adding in the magic of friendship.

Our goal is to be a place where friends can connect – take some time out of busy lives – and get some great bras while also getting amazing support, from both our fitters, and your girlfriends. At our first event in Charlottesville, I was amazed at the level of connection and emotional support from each participant. These are relationships that I hope to enjoy through my own life – and it gave me a little peek into a future that honestly, I’d be happy to enjoy. Even if I cannot see my dearest girlfriends often, being able to pick up right where we left off, and enjoy some girl-time, is straight-up, a dream come true.

Issues were discussed, suggestions offered, hugs abounded – and successes celebrated. I was able to see that many of the issues facing women today (and yesterday, and tomorrow) are those that we are all grappling with: raising a family while also aiding aging parents, transitioning into new roles in the workplace or in the home, and finding fulfillment in marriage (or moving on from one not working out so good). We depend on our girls for these moments and so many more.

One of my closest friends lives in California. We don’t get to see each other much anymore – in fact, it’s been years since we’ve been in the same place at the same time. But: nearly every day after I had my son, for about 4 months, she texted me. “How are you?” she’d ask – and always answered any question I had, even the ones that seemed silly. That support, even from afar, was life-changing.

We hope that you’ll be able to take advantage of our Book the Bra Fitters program with your friends – who knows what solutions will come from some dedicated time to get new bras, hang out, and support each other? Given how amazing I feel our customers are, big things, I’m sure.
